Mike brings skills in business management and a strong technology background to clients’ technology problems. At ForeSite, he develops strategic partnerships and manages financial and business planning.
ForeSite grew out of the firm, Giuffrida Enterprises, Inc., Mike founded in 1997. At previous positions he planned and implemented technology solutions for Aetna Life and Casualty and Farmington Management, Inc. While working at Connecticut Surety Group, he directed and implemented technology initiatives which allowed the organization to grow from 19 to 120 employees and from two to eight offices nationwide.
Mike earned a B.S. in Business Management and an Executive MBA with honors from the University of Connecticut. He has served on the board of directors for the Rocky Hill Chamber of Commerce and The Hartford Club. The Hartford Business Journal chose him as a 2005 Forty Under 40 winner to recognize his business success and community involvement.
Ben has over 15 years of experience with application architecture. At ForeSite, he is responsible for determining which development technologies will be explored and plays an integral part in the design and architecture of new applications.
He is motivated by the fundamental theories of The Pragmatic Programmer, which dictate that a solution is only limited by its designer's imagination, not the technology upon which it relies.
Before joining ForeSite in 2001, he developed software solutions for companies such as CPTV, Pratt and Whitney, and Pfizer. His ability to understand business needs translates into flexible, scalable solutions for ForeSite clients.
Combining common sense with strong reasoning skills, Ben has a keen ability to provide the right solution at the right time. He has experience with a wide range of programming languages including x86 Assembly, Pascal, C/C++, Java, C#, Lua, HTML, DHTML, XML, Xcode (iPhone) and JavaScript.
