		<description>I have a service based business.  I treat my website just like any other form of direct marketing.  I use benefits and testimonials to build trust.  I have found that my online videos are a huge part of why people take the time to fill out my contact form.  My contact form is tied into an auto responder which sends them a strong sales letter and 4 follow up pieces.  They are also subscribed to my monthly newsletter!

For driving traffic to my site I use social media such as facebook and twitter contacts.  I also use google adwords, online video and my blog!  The social media is really starting to take off.

I agree with everything you mention in your original post.  It is all about getting people to opt into your list.  Using free give aways is a great idea and is almost a standard now!
