Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has announced that ForeSite Technologies, of East Hartford will be one of five small businesses receiving funding from the state as part of Connecticut’s Small Business Express program. The program will loan $100 million to qualifying companies and ForeSite will receive $250,000 for the creation of six new jobs.

When ForeSite applied for the program, they had 18 employees, and committed to hiring six more. Four of those six positions have already been filled. Last year ForeSite was named one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the country by Inc. Magazine.

“We’re very excited about the opportunity for continued growth,” ForeSite’s president, Michael Giuffrida said. “The Small Business Express program will help us accelerate our growth. We believe the State’s investment in the small business community will greatly benefit our local economy.”
