Quick Tip- Email Management that can Increase
Productivity
|
The average
business user receives 25 emails per day and spends 60-90 minutes
per day filtering through these emails, which does not even include
the time spent on replying. As email has become the
primary means of communication in today's world, email management
has become increasingly more important. Outlook provides us
with several options to assist with message management which can
lead to a dramatic increase in productivity. By creating
folders and defining rules you can easily direct specified emails
into a designated folder rather than cluttering your Inbox.
Step 1- Create a folder
Folders allow you to categorize your emails as
you see fit. This can significantly help to manage your
inbox.
- Go to the File Menu, choose
Folders, and Select New Folder
- The newly created folder will display as a subfolder your
Inbox.
Step 2- Define Rules
Rules allow you to establish conditions for email
activity. By setting rules you can filter emails by subject,
sender or recipient directly
into folders. This will minimize the time spent on sifting through
your in-box.
- Select an email for which you would like to create a rule.
- With the email highlighted, right click and select Create
Rule
- Now create a rule based upon your selected criteria
(e.g. Emails from joe@abc.com can filter
directly into your ABC folder)
These simple tips can significantly decrease time spent on email
management, leading to increased productivity. |
ForeSite Holiday Contribution
|
 |
|
This past holiday season, ForeSite asked our
valued Clients, friends, and business affiliates to help us decide
which local non-profit organization they would like us to
contribute towards. We received such great feedback that we
decided to make an equal donation to each of the community
organizations. We truly appreciate all of you who supported this
effort, and the organizations were extremely grateful as
well.
