VISION Helps Support Delicious Growth
|
Rick Kerzner of Emily's Catering
and ForeSite's own Mike Giuffrida shared the distinction of being named to
Hartford's 40 Under Forty in the same year which was the beginning of a
mutually beneficial relationship.
Emily's has experienced
phenomenal growth since Rick bought the business back in 2003. Rick's
business sense and over twenty years experience in catering helped him to
expand their Bristol headquarters, and ForeSite has been there with him to make
sure that his technology is keeping pace with our VISION program. From a single computer shared
by all, the network has grown to multiple desktops and a server. Emily's now relies on their technology
to revise menus, handle scheduling and marketing, and communicate with clients
and vendors via email.
If you are looking for a
first-class catering experience for your personal or business needs, Rick and
his staff can be reached at 866-9-EMILYS.
Congratulations Rick on your expansion!

Save Time by Learning Keyboard Shortcuts
|
While the mouse was the focus of great controversy in the movie Pirates of Silicon Valley and has revolutionized the way we use a computer, it's not the most efficient way to perform all actions that you do regularly within Windows. By learning keyboard shortcuts, you can save time by not having to take your hands off of the keyboard for common tasks. Below are some of our favorites, but you can find shortcuts for almost any Windows action by looking to the right of the action name within the traditional menus or hovering the button in Office 2007. Here are a few to get you started. These are specifically from Microsoft Word but are pretty standard with other windows applications.
- Bold - CTRL + B
- Cut - CTRL + X
- Copy - CTRL + C
- Paste - CTRL + V
- Save - CTRL + S
- Left Align - CTRL + L
- Right Align - CTRL + R
- Justify - CTRL + J
- Italic - CTRL + I
- Underline - CTRL + U
Look in your favorite applications for shortcuts to the things you find yourself doing most often and you'll save time you didn't even know you were losing. |

2008 Year End Tax Planning:
|
It's that time again...time to figure out if there is some way to keep more of your hard earned business profits, especially in this trying economy, and after the year investments in the stock market have had. Well, there is some hope, and it's called the Section 179 Tax Deduction. This law allows you to write off up to $250,000 of equipment purchases in a single year instead of having to depreciate them. Visit Section179.Org to learn more and consult your tax advisor to see how it can apply to you. |
