University of Connecticut's School of Business

In 2010, the University of Connecticut's School of Business became a member of the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) consortium of business schools and universities. EBV brings together a dedicated UConn community of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and others (including ForeSite) to rally around this special class of exceptional individuals.

Family Life Education

ForeSite Technologies is proud to announce that company president Mike Giuffrida has been appointed to the board of Family Life Education (FLE), a nonprofit social service agency in Hartford serving children and families since 1987.  The goal of this group is to build a healthy community, strengthen families, and promote the well-being of children and youth through education, outreach, and support services.

Connecticut Association of Nonprofits

ForeSite partners with CT Association of Nonprofits to help educate and support not only their organization, but their member organizations as well. We produce and deliver topical webinars and seminars exclusively for their memberships consumption and provide premium technology solutions within their members' budgets and timeframes, as well as providing network and website support for the Association.

The Mark Twain House & Museum

ForeSite is proud to sponsor the Mark Twain House’s “Mark My Words” event to foster appreciation for the legacy of Mark Twain’s works.  We developed the event microsite to capture the unique look and feel of the marketing for this event.  The microsite can also be repurposed for future special events that the staff wishes to highlight outside of the Mark Twain House & Museum website.

The Covenant Prep School

The Covenant Prep School in Hartford Connecticut received a grant for a new Mac Lab but lacked the expertise to deploy it. ForeSite in East Hartford came to the rescue!

An Apple Xserve was configured with an existing firewall to provide secure internet access for the students. Twenty-one iMacs were setup on the network for staff and the student computer lab.   A member of the Covenant School staff was trained to manage the systems once the school year began.

Scripts were applied to turn on and off the computers at certain times of day to save energy.  The school was also concerned about what to do with the older iMacs that were being replaced with this new equipment.  ForeSite contacted "My SBK" (http://www.mysbk.org), a local nonprofit that reclaims and refurbishes donated computer equipment for distribution to nonprofit organizations and people in need.  A group of 6 iMacs is already on the way to students in the city's Y-Us student program - a win-win for Hartford's youth.

Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation

Founded in 2005, The Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation (http://www.hysf.org) works to expand college access for underserved Hartford students. HYSF prepares Hartford students for enrollment in and success at the college-preparatory high school environments of Connecticut’s top independent schools. HYSF prepares Hartford students through a 14-month academic program, assists students with the independent school application process, and provides support services to students once enrolled at Connecticut independent schools.  ForeSite is proud to support HYSF by sponsoring their events and supporting their online efforts.

The Hartford Children's Theatre

In support of the local youth, ForeSite designed, built and provides support for the HCT website.  This site allows them to get the word out about the great shows that they are producing and is a valuable tool for taking donations to keep the program going.

Hartford Foundation for Public Giving

ForeSite partners with the HFPG to help educate local nonprofits in the best use of their technology dollars.  By designing collaborative technology plans for their member organization, ForeSite provides expertise and guidance in prioritizing technology projects and setting long term technology strategy.
